What a HiLo bed does, and who it's for

A HiLo (high–low) bed adds whole-bed height adjustment to everything a standard adjustable bed already does — and that single capability is what an occupational therapist means when they write "height-adjustable bed" into a care plan. A standard adjustable base, however comfortable, cannot satisfy that recommendation, because it cannot raise or lower the whole platform. Funding a HiLo bed in Tasmania — NDIS and Support-at-Home

Most HiLo beds we deliver are partly or fully funded. The Sophie HiLo is NDIS-approved assistive technology, and for older people, Support at Home through My Aged Care funds equipment under the AT-HM scheme — the high tier covers up to $15,390, comfortably above every HiLo configuration. Your OT assesses the need, we prepare the quote and supporting documentation, we speak directly with the plan manager or provider, and we can invoice the provider directly so you're not fronting the money. DVA documentation is available on request. Families are regularly surprised how little of the administration lands on them.
